Gregory R. Reed
Gregory R. Reed was born in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Lewistown. He is a 1973 graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park. He graduated from the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama in 1976 where he had the honor and privilege of serving as the Writing Editor of the Law Review.
Attorney Reed began practicing in 1976 as an assistant district attorney, prosecuting criminal cases, which provided him with significant trial experience.
He later served as a staff attorney for the Christian Law Association (then located in Cleveland, Ohio), representing individuals, pastors, churches and Christian day schools in situations where their personal and property rights were under attack. Those efforts took him to many states, in attempts to protect the constitutional liberties of his clients.
Several years later he was appointed the Mifflin County solicitor, representing the County Commissioners in all aspects of county government including budget issues, employment disputes, real estate tax sales and county offices.
Attorney Reed started his private practice in 1979, in the basement of his Harrisburg home, with no clients. To “make ends meet” he searched real estate titles for Conestoga Title Insurance Company and taught paralegal classes at the Central Penn Business School, in Summerdale, Pennsylvania.
Attorney Reed has been admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Middle District Court in Harrisburg, the U.S. Eastern District Court in Philadelphia, and the Third Circuit Federal Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Dauphin County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
From the outset of his legal career, Attorney Reed dedicated himself to representing those with real needs and legitimate legal claims, sometimes against great odds. He desires to deliver quality, effective legal representation with integrity and commitment.
Over the last four decades, Attorney Reed has ministered in scores of evangelical and fundamental churches throughout the Commonwealth. He has served as a pastor, Sunday school teacher, and lay leader in his local church.
When he's not at the office, Greg enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and hunting with his beagles.
